This photo is from Ashes and snow, an installation of photographic artworks part of the Nomadic Museum, which goes all around the globe, expose in a temporary structure made just for the art installation, this exhibition have been seen all over the world for more than 10 million people , turning Ashes and Snow the most seen installation of art by a living artist on history, Gregory Colbert.
I first saw this photo on 2006 when I was at my junior year at high
school. I did have a lot of trouble in my life at the time, so I did spend most
of the time by myself, reading or looking at gorgeous pictures from somewhere…
it did help me to relax and to imagine that the world it’s not just what we
live, It’s far more than that, and I couldn’t wait to have new experiences and
to get away from everything that it hurt me.
I mostly love this picture, because it represent the wisdom of life, how
we sometimes over think about stupid stuff, like getting angry when you are
late ‘cuz of the traffic for example.. it’s just ridiculous! if you think that once upon a time it was a
city without traffic without hunger without anger, you think who the real
stupid is here…
How funny life is, my first time at the super market in the U.S. I saw a
book of the exhibition, obviously bought it haha
